Equipped to Adopt is a fully customizable coaching program for hopeful adoptive parents. 
 
How do you know you are truly prepared to adopt? Honestly, until you have experienced adoption first-hand, it's hard to know what it is really like. That's where I come in! 
 
My name is Katie, and I am an adoptive mom to three kids via foster care. I know ALL of the ups and downs that come along with this journey, and I will support you every step of the way. 
 
What you can expect from this coaching package:
Six 1-hour coaching sessions at the rate that works best for your needs (between 6 weeks and 6 months)
Choose topics from a session "menu" in order to customize your experience
Discover your parenting strengths and learn how to lean into them
Identify potential difficulties you will face with adoptive parenting
Set plans in place to have a successful transition into adoption
Process through your fears and worries about adoption in a non-judgemental environment
 
You may be asking yourself, "I already have an adoption agency...do I need adoption coaching as well?"
 
Adoption coaching is not a requirement. However, adoption agencies are limited in how they can personalize your training. Usually, there is a group of parents with a variety of backgrounds all together taking in information. 
 
If you ask me, that’s just not enough. 
 
As adoptive parents, we need more than just to soak in information. We need a chance to process with another human. We need to learn our unique strengths and weaknesses, and how to practically apply that knowledge, even when faced with extremely difficult situations with our children.
 
Equipped to Adopt is designed to do that and more! In this program, you will not just follow one generically prescribed path. 
 
Instead, this program is completely customizable. You can choose the rate at which you complete your sessions (between 6 weeks and 6 months) as well as the session topics that will help you the most.
